Thank you for choosing the BAAer BA-5 Guri two place ultra light. This is a prototype design being deveoped by BAAer Aeroplano or Buenos Aires Argentina. The air craft comes in two engine configuration; a Rotax 503 50hp version and a Rotax 582 64 hp version. This is the 64 hp version though my .air file may miscalculate some of the flight dynamics.

This is my first model and mistakes have been made. If you find something glaringly horrible and you want to change it, I have included all of the build files (FSDS .fsc files and textures) in a seperate folder within the zip.

Installation
Unzip the zip file and place the guri-5 folder in your aircraft folder. I'm not responsible for an problems associated with improper installation but if you have a problem I can try to help. my email address is gmyers@ont.com

Flying notes:
The opitmum cruise speed is 75 mph but this model is capable of exceeding the DNE or 90 with engine at 100% power in level flight. You will easily find that you are in an OverSpeed situaltion. In real life this might be a danger, but in the flight sim, of course, it is not.
Because stall speed is at 35-40 mph and handling is reasonably forgiving, there is no need for flaps.

Turning.
Because this is an ultra light and neither the tail plane nor the sail are air foils, the incidence of side slipping is greater than normal aircraft. In a standard 20 degree turn the time to double is about 12 seconds and side slip begins to be noticable. You really have to use the rudder to make the turns cleanly!

Acknowledgments:
I borrowed and modified the air file for Jerry Arzdorf's TAYLOR J-2 CUB.
I borrowed and modified a three bladed prop from Brian Gladden.

but of course, I've modified it as well. (The little girl is my own creation.)

My wife and I created the little girl, Maggie. She is five as of the release date of this model.

This plane was created in FSDS using aircraft animator, Flight Dynamics editor and AirEd.
With the exception of items noted above all modeling and textures were done by Gary Myers (me).
